Tampines Central boleh! The Tampines Central sepak takraw
team has kept to its goal of steady progress by securing the
first runner-up position at this year's inter-constituency
Sepak Takraw Tournament.
The teams' player-coach Adaham Abdullah was pleased
with the result, saying, “We improved on our quarter-final
position from the competition last year and exceeded our expectations
of reaching the semis in this year's tournament. Next
year, the target is the championship.” Despite the continued
upward progress, Adaham was keen to stress that winning the
championship next year would not be a shoo-in. He maintained
that, “We can only achieve our goal with a better training
plan and, more importantly, with continued CSC support.”
The Tampines Central sepak takraw team has been playing together
for more than four years. They train three times a week on
Monday, Wednesday and Friday on the sepak takraw court in
front of Blk 842, Tampines Street 83.
