To liaise with other community groups including schools, religious
groups, Voluntary Welfare Organizations (VWOs) other agencies and
other corporations for community projects and purposes.
To plan and coordinate calendar events for the Grassroots Organisations
(GROs) and to ensure the GROs achieve the PA Awards Performance Benchmarks.
To gather ground feedback on government policies and services and
serve as a bridge between the Government and the residents to facilitate
ground feedback.
To promote the use of the internet to inform and educate residents
on constituency events, community programmes and to create interest
and raise IT literacy among residents.
The publication committee is responsible for the publication of
the TAMPINES CENTRAL NEWS, a quarterly newsletter that is distributed
free-of-charge to every household and shop in the Tampines Central
Division since 1998. The 12-page newsletter contains many interesting
reports and colour photographs on the happenings in the Division.
