Sin Boon Ann’s Message for the IT website

In February 2003, Tampines Central Division launched the Tampines Central IT website (www.tampinescentral.org.sg) which aims to provide comprehensive information to our residents on the various programmes and community activities that the Tampines Central Community Club (“Tampines Central CC”) and the grassroots organisations organise.

Two years later, in 2005, Tampines Central CC marked another milestone by moving into a new home in Tampines Central Community Complex. The complex houses several commercial and other community facilities as well. This new place with better facilities and services seeks to serve you as a one-stop service centre and to bring new life to Tampines Central. With this, we are honoured that the Tampines Central CC was officially opened on 1 October 2005 by Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong .

In conjunction with the official opening of the Tampines Central CC, the Tampines Central Infoweb has been revamped with a new look. The website will now include new features and more updates, and even a photo page where residents can download photos taken during major events. It will also include polling on hot topics where readers can cast their votes to express their views.

I hope that this new website will help us serve our residents better with timely information. Residents will know and be able to keep abreast with the happenings around Tampines Central division. We hope to communicate better with you through this new channel. It is our wish that the communication through the website will in turn spur your interest and lead to your active involvement as part of the community.
